Mohamed Firhan Abdul Salam joined the Singapore Tourism Board in 2009 and spent a good part of his career managing a few of the Board’s overseas regional offices.
He is currently STB’s Area Director for Indonesia based in Jakarta. This is his third posting to Indonesia, with the first stint as posted manager in Jakarta from 2012 to 2014. He was then posted as Area Director, Middle East and Africa (based in Dubai) from 2014 to 2017. He was then tasked with the opening of STB’s latest Regional Office in Surabaya covering East Indonesia as its Area Director for two years.
Mohamed Firhan is an experienced marketing strategist and his work in regional offices includes leading partnerships and business development efforts across industry verticals (like BTMICE, Cruise, Education) to position Singapore as a compelling leisure and business destination.
Before his overseas stints, Mohamed Firhan was in the BTMICE division where he was responsible for business development efforts to create, secure and anchor globally significant trade events in Singapore for the urban solutions industry verticals to boost industry development.
